Electrolytes for your goats are important when replacing body fluids lost from dehydration whether it is from illness or hot weather. My Personal Choice for electrolytes is Vi-tal, it has minerals, electrolytes, and vitamins and goes along way unlike many of the other dry mixes that have fillers and not nearly the balanced ingredients this product has.
Vi-tal Vi-tal contains vitamin A, vitamin D3, vitamin E, riboflavin, d-Panothenic acid, niacin, vitamin B12, menadione sodium bisulfate complex (source of vitamin K), Thiamine mononitrate, folic acid, pyridoxine hydrochloride, plus electrolytes and trace minerals from: potassium chloride, sodium chloride, magnesium sulfate, calcium gluconate, sodium bicarbonate, manganese sulfate, zinc sulfate, copper sulfate, ethylene diamine dihydriodide, and cobalt sulfate. Dosage: Moderate level of supplementation: mix 1 packet per 256 gallons of water Low level of supplementation: mix 1 packet per 384 gallons of water
Can be found at most Tractor Supply Stores or you can contact the company direct. Animal Safety Division There are other electrolyte mixes on the market as well: Re-Sorb (My Least favorite but in a HUGE pinch it will do alright)
